Cycling in Puglia for ten days.

You will discover the southest point o Puglia Salento by bike, the sea is the king here, the sun and the wind will move your hairs. Let's go for a magic cycle journey!

The first day we will meet at your accommodation and during the delivery of the bike we will carry out a bike fitting and briefing where we will explain in detail the tracks and how to use our gps navigator, you will also receive a leaflet. The time of moving luggage will be every day from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, different times can be agreed in advance upon our availability.

If you need the bikes consider the hybrid model will have as standard the front bag with the cycle kit inside and in addition a side bag, helmet, water bottle.

For racing or gravel bikes in addition to the helmet and water bottle and as an alternative to the front/side bag we provide the maxi expandable saddlebag Ortlieb with inside the cycle kit and also any special pedals if required.

ROUTE INTRODUCTION

The biketour is divided into eight stages of bicycle touring route suitable for any type of bike. You will have some tracks with uphill sections that require a minimum of training. The roads are mostly secondary with low traffic, some stretches with medium traffic, several country roads with almost no traffic. The road surface is asphalted.

Salento - Itria Valley – Sud Est Barese

A fascinating journey to experience most of the treasures of Puglia. Starting from Trani you will go to the wonderful city of the Sassi, Matera, carved into the tuff and declared a World Heritage Site; you will continue to the area of South East Barese and the 'Murgia dei Trulli', where you will see Alberobello (Unesco heritage site) famous for its charming trulli with conical roofs, the nearby coastal Polignano a Mare with its terraces overlooking the sea and the underground caves of Castellana grotte. From Monopoli, following undulating nature trails, you will reach the heart of Valle d'Itria: Locorotondo, a village perched on a hill and known for its fine white wine; Cisternino; Ostuni, called the 'white city' for the whiteness of its walls and houses. Finally you will explore the alto Salento area until Lecce where you can be enchanted by the baroque style.
